About Joy

Hello, my name is Joy Haugan, and I am the Director of Client Services here at Legacy Law Firm. I will be one of the first faces you see as you come through our doors and my goal is to make you as comfortable as possible while you are with us. I love meeting new people and finding out what we have in common. I am a northwest Iowa “Dutch” girl at heart, even though I have lived in Sioux Falls for the last 25 years. I graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in advertising. My role at the firm includes all things relating to YOU, the client; from your first phone call and everything that follows, you can count on me to make your time with us smooth and seamless. I will also make sure you have that hot cup of coffee and fresh baked cookie ready for you when you come in. I want you to feel like you are at home when you are with us.

I recently joined the firm after being in the banking industry since college. I love the smaller atmosphere and the personalized attention I get to give our clients. When I'm not at work, I cherish spending time with my family. I've been happily married for many years and am blessed with a daughter and a son, who keep our world busy with all kinds of activities, but we always manage to make it back together at the end of the day. Our dog also adds quite the adventure to our daily lives.
